The HydroEdge radial is Michelin's premium Passenger All-Season tire designed to meet the needs of the drivers of family coupes, sedans and minivans. It was developed to be a very versatile tire by combining long wear with hydroplaning resistance and year-round traction, even in light snow. On the outside, the HydroEdge radial features a silica-enhanced tread compound molded into a directional tread design to blend dry and wet road traction with long wear. Dual circumferential center grooves and angled HydroChutes combine to pump water from under the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, the HydroEdge radial's polyester cord body and twin steel belts help deliver a smooth ride along with strength and durability.

[Michelin Harmony tires] were developed for the drivers of family cars and minivans who want long wearing All-Season tires. Michelin Harmony tires enhance year round traction in a wide range of driving conditions including dry and wet roads, and in light snow. The P6 Four Seasons radial is Pirelli's High Performance All-Season tire originally developed for European high performance and luxury touring sedans imported to North America. The P6 Four Seasons complements these potent vehicles by combining Extra Low Rolling Resistance (ELRR) with a smooth and comfortable ride, high performance driving characteristics and year-round traction, even in light snow. The P6 Four Seasons radial features an asymmetric tread design with two central circumferential grooves to enhance wet traction and resist hydroplaning. A continuous center rib provides constant road contact to enhance straight-line tracking and dry road response. The tread is molded out of Pirelli's 100% silica compound with siped, independent shoulder and intermediate tread blocks that provide additional biting edges to enhance light snow traction. The tire's structure includes twin, high tensile steel belts that reduce weight to enhance ride quality while they stabilize the tread area to enhance handling. The tire also features Pirelli's Extra Low Rolling Resistance (ELRR) system in which the belting, sidewall and carcass compounds are designed and constructed to improve flexibility and increase rolling smoothness, while overall integrity is optimized and weight is reduced.

Yokohama Tire Corporation’s all-new AVID® ENVigor™ – the first tire to combine high-performance, superior comfort, eco sensibilities and long treadlife – will hit the market March 1 in 69 sizes for a wide variety of vehicle applications, making it one of the largest tire launches in Yokohama’s history.

“ENVigor is a tire for almost everyone,” said Mark Chung, Yokohama director, corporate strategy and planning. “The ENVigor’s array of vehicle applications range from entry-level to luxury coupes and sedans. It will fit pure high-performance cars like the Mustang and 370Z, as well as high-end makes such as the Audi A3 and Lexus GS. Plus there are fitments for various SUVs and crossovers from OEMs such as Volkswagen, Toyota and Honda.”

In addition to the breadth of applications and sizes, Chung said the ENVigor – which replaces Yokohama’s popular AVID H4s/V4s and W4 tires – offers unprecedented performance. It is the first to collectively offer consumers superior traction and handling, enhanced comfort, treadlife and excellent gas mileage. “That’s why a new category – Grand Performance – was created for it,” noted Chung. “The ENVigor is a technical marvel.”

Made in the U.S at Yokohama’s Salem, Virginia plant, the ENVigor comes in H-, V- and W-ratings. It is engineered with Yokohama’s proprietary Adaptive 3D sipes (which help maintain water and winter traction); angled groove walls and circumferential grooves that resist hydroplaning; a tapered center rib and unibloc shoulder for stiffness; a six-pitch tread variation for reduced pattern noise; groove-in-groove technology for reduced uneven wear; and an all-new silica compound for excellent fuel efficiency.
