Initial Review, 500 Miles on Tires
April 13, 2010
Just replaced some Michelin tires with the AVID ENVigor (H&V) tires. The tires are quiet, responsive, and appear to be great replacements for the OEM Michelins. Had a wild turkey run in from of the vehicle two days ago...was able to bring my RX330 to a fast and controllable stop with no problems. The tires appear to be every bit as good as what was delivered on the vehicle. I will review the tire again when we get some rain, but so far, this new tire from Yokohama appears to be a competitively priced swap for the far more expensive Michelin OEMs.

Initial Review, 100 Miles on Tires

JUST GOT THIS SET OF TIRES, VERY HARD TO COME BY AT ANY SHOPS IN TORONTO AREA BY APR. SOLD VERY VERY WELL ONCE RELEASED, AT LEAST THE SIZE FOR MAZDA 3 HATCH (205/50/17). GREEN+ROSS BEST PRICE $115 CA EACH INSTALLED. MAZDA SHOPS (ONLY 2 I FOUND) HAD STOCK. MORE $$$ + 118/HR LABOUR RATE FOR INSTLN. WANTED THESE TIRES THOUGH. GOOD REVIEWS AND OTHER SET FROM HONDA CIVIC OF YOKO'S WERE EXCELLENT - LONG WEAR LIFE. THESE ENVIGOR'S HAVE VERY GOOD TREADWEAR RATING OF 560 SAME AS NOKIAN ALLSEASON FOR N.AMERICA. LOTS OF OTHER REVIEWS OF 205/50/17 WERE BAD FOR WET OR DRY OR WEARLIFE. THESE YOKO ENVIGORS ARE VERY QUIET - BARELY HEAR THEM AT ALL. AM IMPRESSED BUT NEED WET COND'N TO KNOW WET GRIP. WILL ADVISE FURTHER. I KNOW -'VE REVIEWS OF BRIDGE G019, BF GOOD SUPER SPORT, PIRELLI P6. THESE SEEM VERY GOOD, MADE IN USA.

Initial Review, 100 Miles on Tires
April 12, 2010
Just replaced the original Dunlop tires with 30K miles - they were totally worn and noisy. These Yokohama's are fantastic - quiet as can be, which is definitely needed in a car like the Fit. The ride is smooth and comfortable. I would definitely recommend these tires to anyone looking to replace noisy old ones. Also, the service from Tire Rack is A+. Shipping is super fast, and they keep you totally informed by email of the shipping progress. Used their recommendation for an installer, and couldn't have been happier - the installer was totally professional.

Initial Review, 140 Miles on Tires
April 12, 2010
So far, disappointed. Bought the Yoko's to replace my original Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02's which lasted 65K miles and was quite happy with (not sure why so many others aren't). Traction & handling seem to be fine but the road noise is excessive for what I'm used to. Now, I know a Toyota Solara is no Rolls Royce but with the B'stones my car was nearly "bank-vault quiet" on the highway. The Envigors sound more like off-road tires. Balance & air presure is good and had 4 wheel alignment performed the following day with less than 20 miles on tires. However, I now have more road noise than wind noise - something I've never experienced before with my car. I called Yoko's c/s# and was told they should be quiet right from the start with out any real "breakin" period. I've had 2 sets of Yoko's Avid TRZ on other cars and done nothing but rave about them, but these are just too noisy. No rain or snow yet so can't comment on that. They also ride a bit stiff but not harsh.
I'm glad they come with a 30 day money back guarantee because I'm more than likely going to use it.

Initial Review, 105 Miles on Tires
April 11, 2010
These tires replaced my non studded Michelin winter tires. Winter mileage w/snows avg. city 21mpg/hgwy 34.6. Car is rated 20/27mpg. I've filled up once since installing tires and have done all city driving my mpg went from 21.3 to 19.8. I drive conservatively trying to get the best mileage I can even though it's all wheel drive. In the 14 years of owning Subaru's this is the first time I've actually lost mileage due to tires. I narrowed it down between Yokohama and Bridgestone and decided the Envigor had some good features along w/ the low rolling resistance and getting better mileage is always a plus. I'm quite disappointed w/ this discovery. I will rate this tire again after I've taken a trip and driven in the rain.

Initial Review, 300 Miles on Tires
April 09, 2010
I have had these tires on my car for about 300 miles (just under 500 km). So far I am satisfied. I have dedicated winter tires. So I do not expect to drive them in the winter. I really feel confident in both dry and wet conditions and the ride is comfortable and reasonably quiet when I consider the price difference between these and the Michelin Pilot Exalto AS I was also considering. I will definitely follow up once the summer season is over. Have a good one!

Initial Review, 5,000 Miles on Tires
April 08, 2010
Great Tire so far, just came off a two sets of yokokhoma V4S which are great but these seem a touch better. Much better than the orginal Michelins M4VS. Quite, smooth, Good gripin corners. Great looking as well. Seems Yoko has gone to great lengths to put out a great tire. Wife drives on them and loves them as well. Hey even made in the USA! I say buy this tire. I will update as miles build as i put a ton of miles on tires

Initial Review, 300 Miles on Tires
April 07, 2010
I recently put the Yok. Avid Envigors on my stock G35 sedan and really like them. they are much more quiet than the Yok YK420's, which lasted about 50k miles. They seem as though they are just now breaking in after about 300 miles: at first I noticed some squirm on hwy driving, but notice very little now. They are a great combination of firmness/feel and ride smoothness...I think they live up to Yok's marketing claims so far, but we will have to see how well they wear. I cannot comment on snow traction or hydroplaning yet, but I expect that they should perform very well.

I have only driven 100 miles on these, but they have my unqualified endorsement. They are as quiet and smooth as my old V4S's, but seem to have more responsiveness and 3-4 mpg's better than the prior tires, as compared to when they were both new. Great tire.
