The Radial Mud Rover is Dunlop's Off-Road Maximum Traction tire developed for jeep, pickup and sport utility vehicle enthusiasts who take their off-road driving seriously. It is designed to deliver Dunlop's maximum traction and provide ultimate off-road performance.
The Radial Mud Rover molds an off-road, tough compound into a deep, aggressive symmetric tread design. Wide shoulder lugs with alternating scallops separated by wide gaps combine steering traction in mud, loose rocks and ruts with self-cleaning capability. Center tread bars promote stability and directional control on- and off-road.
The tire's internal structure includes six full plies under the tread (2 nylon, 2 steel and 2 polyester) to enhance overall durability. Then the two-ply polyester sidewalls feature high ply turn-ups to enhance lower sidewall toughness and handling.
While Off-Road Maximum Traction tires are branded with the M+S symbol and able to churn through deep snow, their typical oversize applications and the absence of snow-biting sipes in their large smooth lugs can challenge their on-road wintertime traction on packed snow and icy surfaces.
